Kristy was born and raised in Florida where she attended and graduated from the University of Central Florida before moving out west to fulfill her love for the mountains, skiing and everything outdoors. In her spare time, she loves music and songwriting and fulfilled a lifelong dream when she went back to school to obtain a second bachelor’s degree at the University of Colorado to study Music Business.
While in school, she began working in commercial and residential real estate management in Denver, overseeing everything from high rise office buildings, residential apartments, commercial HOA’s and client relations that continued into a fulltime position for over 8 years.
In 2019 she purchased Grand Mountain Rentals and began her dream journey of living and working in the Rocky Mountains and enjoying life in beautiful Grand County, Colorado with her fiance Nathan, their cat Shuggie and furbaby Daisie. She is dedicated to running a highly attentive and knowledgeable local operation filled with people who love what they do and where they live!

Sophia joined the Grand Mountain Rentals team after relocating to Grand Lake from Colorado Springs in 2022. She studied at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and Southeast Community College, bringing with her 10 years of experience in guest-focused roles across sales, hospitality, and client services.
Her career began in the restaurant and bar industry, where she steadily worked her way up before transitioning into broader hospitality roles and ultimately finding her niche in property management. Her well-rounded background has shaped her commitment to delivering top-tier service and maintaining strong client relationships.
Outside of work, Sophia is an avid outdoor enthusiast who thrives in the mountains. She spends her free time hiking, climbing, kayaking, skiing, and practicing yoga. She is currently pursuing yoga teacher certification and brings the same discipline and mindfulness to her professional life.
Sophia is passionate about upholding exceptional standards of customer service and takes pride in building authentic, lasting connections with both guests and homeowners. Her organizational skills, efficiency, and dedication make her an invaluable part of the Grand Mountain Rentals team.

- Client Relations and Property Management
Melina started with Grand Mountain rentals in 2021. She spent 20+ years managing in corporate food service, running large operations/events, and staffing crews. She was ready for a career change and fell into property management once Covid changed the scope of management and policies. She is so happy to be working in the mountains and loves the small town feel in Grand Country.
Born and raised in Oviedo, Florida. Where her farming family settled in the early 1900’s and started a church/school that she attended in her early years. After that, Melina attended Florida College of Jacksonville where she studied fire science and received a volleyball scholarship. After college in 2011, she moved to Colorado to enjoy the change of seasons, enjoy outdoor activities and beautiful Colorado scenery.
In her spare time, Melina enjoys fly fishing, hunting, snow shoeing, camping, paddle boarding and hanging withher husband Ty, their son Witt, dog Duck and cat Penny. She has 3 nieces and visits her parents and brother in Florida as often as she can. She loves the beach and being on the boat with her family. She met her now husband Ty in 2015 and he’s a Colorado native, they are so happy to call Colorado home.
Daisie loves to give kisses and is sure to brighten your day. You can find her cruisin in the car with the windows down, sun bathing, lookin' cute, enjoying a hike and chasing chipmunks!
